Statement of Faith

We believe in the Holy Scriptures, the Old Testament and New Testament, as the Word of God and the only perfect rule for faith, doctrine, and conduct.

We believe in One God, Creator and Sustainer of all things, who exists in three persons:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God, His gift to the world and guide for His people in faith and practice

We believe in God’s unconditional love as expressed in Jesus Christ, and that He is the Living Word, the promised Messiah, and the eternal Son of the Father, who became flesh through His miraculous virgin birth, died on the cross, rose to sit at the Father’s right hand, and is returning some day.

We believe, being separated from God and condemned by our sinfulness, our salvation is wholly dependent upon the work of God’s free grace.  God credits His righteousness to those who put their faith in Christ alone for their salvation.  Only those born of the Holy Spirit, who have received Jesus Christ become children of God and heirs of eternal life

We believe, the Holy Spirit has come to glorify Christ and to apply His saving work to our lives.  He convicts us of sin and draws us to the Savior.  Coming to live in our hearts, He gives us gifts for service.  He instructs us and guides us into all truth, and empowers us for ministry in the church and the world

We believe we are called to make disciples of all nations, proclaiming the Gospel to the spiritually lost and equipping believers so they may be mature in Christ.  The Lord calls all believers to be ministers and witnesses to God’s amazing grace and to readily participate in the task of making disciples, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

We believe it is our responsibility to develop, equip, and release people into their God-given ministries in the church and the world.

Pastor Dave Bonselaar

Born and raised in West Michigan, it has been my privilege to serve as pastor at Bridge to Grace Church since 2007.   Serving churches in Michigan, New York, California and Iowa, helped me discover the value of relationship and my heart to work with people as I; ”Journey with others helping them experience God in new ways.”

Some of my favorite times are spent sharing a cup of coffee and listening, celebrating life’s biggest joys and supporting someone through some of life’s biggest challenges.  Through all of it we discover God’s presence in all things!

Celebrating more than 30 years of marriage, my wife and I have been blessed with three children, two daughters-in-law’s, and two grandchildren.
